Optic Sky Becomes Official SNAP Next Gen Spectacles Creator Partner

Optic Sky Selected as SNAP Next Gen Spectacles Creator Partner

 

We love Snapchat… not just because it’s an amazingly fun and popular social network or even because it’s an incredibly effective business tool. We also love Snapchat because Snap Inc. is taking augmented reality technologies to new heights–and that’s something we can really get behind. 

 

Today, we are thrilled to announce that Optic Sky has been chosen by SNAP, Inc. to serve as an official SNAP Next Gen Spectacles Creator Partner. 

 

To commemorate this achievement, Optic Sky is expanding its series of free educational workshops where brands, agencies and funded startups can learn more about augmented reality and how to best leverage it on social media. 

 

First announced at the SNAP Partner Summit in May of this year, the fourth generation spectacles are the first to offer built-in augmented reality (AR) displays. 

 

Optic Sky will receive access to the Next Gen Spectacles (which are not available for sale to the general public), in addition to other exclusive privileges. 

 

As part of the relationship, Optic Sky will develop several digital experiences for SNAP Spectacles and will provide ongoing feedback via a direct line of communication with the SNAP team, thus helping to shape the future of the Spectacles product. 

 

Acceptance into the program also provides opportunities for Optic Sky to build relationships and develop projects with other official SNAP partners, including innovative creatives, development teams, and agencies. 

 

Social AR Workshop Series

These free, one-hour workshops are designed to get brand, agency, and funded startup teams up to speed on the fast-changing world of social AR. Recent workshop participants have included Charles Schwab, Hershey’s, and Wegmans, among others.
