We are beyond excited to announce that Optic Sky has bagged several shiny new awards at the 2024 Addy Awards!
Now, before you imagine us strutting up to the stage, bedecked in glitter and grabbing awards with both hands like a kid in a candy store, let's set the record straight. We walked; we did not strut. And okay, maybe there was a little bit of glitter.
The Optic Sky 2024 Addy Award Wins are as follows:
Our work for Wegmans, "Delicious in a NY Minute," snagged the Best of Video/Broadcast award. This piece, born out of the fast-paced New York lifestyle, captures the essence of Wegmans’ gourmet, ready-to-eat, and ready-to-heat meal options at its new (and amazing) Astor Place, NY location.
Through wide-angle, slow-motion shots and mouth-watering food close-ups, we told a story that resonates with every New Yorker rushing through their day, pausing only to savor a Wegmans meal in a “Delicious in a New York minute.” Yes, we did end up causing lines around the block, but let’s chalk that up to the magic of good advertising, shall we?
We didn’t stop there. Our Wegmans work also swept up not one, but two silver awards for Elements of Advertising in both Cinematography and Video Editing. Crafting a narrative around the high stakes of a football watch party that’s running low on wings, we made Wegmans’ chicken (and pizza and snacks) the true stars of the show. Real food, real hunger, and real competition – because why fake it when you can make it deliciously real?
Working with our partners at The Martin Group, our Fisher-Price post-production warmed hearts and snagged a gold for Video Editing in the Elements of Advertising category. In this project, we delved into the joy and wonder of the first year of play, turning mountains of live-action shots into adorable camera-in-camera video calls and texts showcasing Fisher-Price’s best-selling baby products. It was all about capturing those precious moments of play and family pride, tailored perfectly for sharing in today’s digital age.
So, there you have it. A night of glamor, glitz, and a gentle reminder of why we do what we do. It's not for the awards (though, let's be honest, they're pretty nice), but for the joy of creating something memorable, impactful, and maybe, just maybe, a little bit magical.
To our team, you're the real MVPs. You poured your hearts and souls (and countless hours) into these campaigns, and seeing our efforts recognized on such a prestigious platform is truly humbling.
To our clients, thank you for trusting us with your brands, stories, and reputations.
And to the Addys, thanks for the recognition and the hardware—we promise to give these awards a good home (and to bring the goods greats again next year).
