Is that the last wing?

Convenience, quality, and taste are paramount when hosting a football watch party. And when you’re attending one of those parties, the last thing you want is to go home hungry…

...which, depending on how much food is left, may entail a bit of competition.

Structured for use across television and all digital channels, the real star of these spots is the chicken itself (oh hey pizza and snacks, you too). That’s why we chose to use real food as opposed to the fake stuff so many commercials utilize. Yeah, it’s hard to keep real food fresh and looking good throughout an entire shoot, but it’s well worth the effort.

Within the first few seconds of "Interception", the scene is set, and the interest of any football fan within earshot is peaked with a classic play-by-play commentator voice announcing, “This is the match-up fans have been waiting for.”

Check out the videos to see how things go from there—and keep an eye out for the slow zoom technique we used to build suspense and lock in viewers' attention.

Why chicken wings? Well, for one thing, they are HOT right now, particularly in relation to football games. Last year, Americans consumed a record-breaking 1.45 billion chicken wings during Super Bowl LVII weekend—representing an increase of two percent from the prior year (the equivalent of 84 million more wings). This is according to the annual Chicken Wing Report from The National Chicken Council (NCC)... which, believe it or not, is a real thing.
To reinforce Wegman's status as the official tailgate sponsor of the Buffalo Bills, our final spot brings us to a tailgate party outside the stadium where a delicious spread of Wegmans food is waiting. After tasting a chicken wing, our Buffalo Bills fan can't help but want more.
