Launching Google Workspace
When it became clear that the COVID-19 pandemic was here to stay, Google decided to add a number of features to its G Suite offering. Google approached Article Group to strategize concepts for the service, which was renamed Google Workspace.
To help announce the new offering and generate excitement around its expanded capabilities, Google commissioned a video, which was produced by Optic Sky on behalf of Article Group.
The team was challenged with figuring out how to shape a story around Google Workspace and to highlight its many new features in a way that would be relevant to a range of target audiences. The solution was to create a video using UI animation around the theme of a remote coworker birthday party. And, due to COVID-19 restrictions, it would need to be created by an entirely remote Optic Sky team.
